Bali Ijen Kalibaru Bromo 3N/ 4D

A fascinating overland package tour from Bali to some highlighted tourist objects in East Java to discover their unspoiled natural beauties, local people's way of life as well as other interesting experiences such as unique foods, cultures and manners. On this tour you will visit Ijen crater, Kalibaru village, and Mount Bromo.

Day 01: Pick up from hotel in Bali (Kuta, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud) at about 10 o’clock. A fluent English speaking driver will drive you during the trip. He will be your driver, assistant and a guide, so don’t hesitate to ask in case of necessity. From Kuta area to Gilimanuk harbor will take about 4 hours. On the way after Tabanan you will see scenic views of rice field, so feel free to ask the drive to stop for photography. You might choose to have lunch at a local restaurant recommended by the driver. Then, you will cross Bali-Java strait about 1,5 hours. Upon arrival at Ketapang harbour, proceed to Ketapang hotel (or another hotel already booked) for check in. You might use your free time by relaxing at the hotel swimming pool before dinner time. Wake-up time call is 3.45 am.

Day 02: Hotel - Ijen

Get up at 03.45, prepare yourself then have morning coffee. Take your take-away breakfast, then get on a 4WD vehicle that will take you to Ijen. After finishing the city road, you will arrive at Licin village where you start the adventure. From Licin to Ijen the road  steadily move upwards where  along the way you will see lush green coffee and clove plantation and tropical rain forest belonging to the Ijen National park. Giant big ferns and various kinds of rare tropical plants are the most frequently encountered. Finally you will reach Paltuding, the place where you will stop the car trip and start the trekking. It takes about 1,5 hours from Paltuding to the crater. You will have some rest on the way wile enjoying natural scenery of the mountain slope. You will also discover men carrying heavy loads of sulphur they take from sulphur mine at the crater. After some little endeavor, you will finally reach the top and start to amaze at the uncomparable natural beauty of mount Ijen. Start exploring the crater with camera at hand to photo the most amazing picture for memory. Afterwards, you will descend the slope, down to the vehicle parking. The trek ends, and drive back to hotel for bathing, have lunch at a local restaurant, then continue for another trip.

It takes about 1,5 hours from Banyuwangi to Kalibaru. Kalibaru is a district, part of Banyuwangi regency. This place is located at highland which offers natural beauties, such as rivers with background of deep-green plantation crops, mountain views and green rice fields. It is also home to a variety of tropical plants, such as coffee, cocoa, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, vanilla and pepper. There is also a beatiful waterfall nearby that you can reach by a guided tour arranged at the hotel.

Uppon arrival, check in and then free program. Dinner can be at hotel, or get the driver to take you to find cozy simple local food stall to experience local delicacies.

Day 03 : Kalibaru - Bromo

The next morning, after breakfast you will have a guided cycling tour for about 2,5 hours. Afterwards , back to hotel for check out, and ten continue trip to Bromo. Lunch on the way, at a local restaurant.

Early evening arrive at Bromo, check in at hotel Lava view or another recommended hotel. Dinner is at the  hotel’s restaurant.

Day 04: Hotel – Penanjakan – Bromo cater – Hotel - Bali    

Wake up call at 3.45, then at 4.00 start the adventure travelling on a 4WD vehicle/jeep driving up steep winding road of Penanjakan to reach one of the famous sunrise view points of Bromo. After about 45 minute drive, we arrive at the jeep parking, walk for about 30 minutes passing through some steps to reach to view point. Prepare your camera waiting for the best moment of Bromo spectacular sunrise. While waiting for the sunrise, enjoy local coffee and succulent fried banana. Channel you photography hobby to get the best pictures of this phenomenal sunrise view. After finishing this tour, return to hotel for shower and breakfast, then continue the trip back to Bali. End of the trip, enjoy a long car trip to Bali. Late afternoon/ early evening arrive at a hotel in Bali.
