- Bargaining is part of the Balinese culture, a reduction of 10-50% is always possible especially in local shops.
- The famous alholic drink of Bali, arak, can be found almost everywhere. Remember that arak has 45% alcohol and don't drink arak as you drink beer.
- When visiting a temple, be sure to respect the traditions, dress modestly before entering.
- Hospitality is a tradition of Balinese, don't be surprised...
- When renting a motor bike make sure you have necessary documents and equip yourself with standard helmet.
- Don't be offended with the question "where are you going, Sir/ Madam?" since it is just a greeting
- Exchange your currency at an authorized money changers.
